Kshitij is an entrepreneur with focus on augmented and virtual Reality, artificial intelligence, scaling up deep technology organization and taking cutting edge products to market. He has been a recipient of MIT TR 35 Most Innovator of the Year, Forbes 30 under 30 and has been a TED India speaker.

He has more than 15+ years of experience across top academic institutions like MIT, Harvard and Stanford with multiple research and patent publications, bootstrapping two deep technology startups and taking them into M&A with large organizations, scaling up technology organizations and taking consumer and enterprise products to market at scale.

​

He is a graduate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where he got his Master's with focus area being Light Field Photography and Light Field Displays. Prior to MIT, he was at the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology Division where his focus area was Deep Learning Based Bio-medical Ontology Alignment using Massive Datasets.

He spun-off Tesseract Imaging Limited out of his work at MIT in 2015 and it got acquired by Reliance - India's biggest public sector company in 2019. Post acquisition, he has worked on multiple consumer and enterprise products in the field of AR/VR and AI like JioGlass, JioFrames and made Tesseract India's biggest XR + AI organization.

Prior to Tesseract, he led the not-for-profit MIT Media Lab India Initiative to create a platform for young innovators across the length and breadth of India to collaborate across cross-functional domains and bring their ideas to life.

​

He is a graduate in Computer Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
